100% Organic
My Honey is 100% Organic & harvested from apiaries in the Singida region of Tanzania, Africa. The apiaries are well protected from non-bee-related activities in order to keep the land organic. Nectar, pollen and water used by the bees, all come from purely organic sources. All hives are located within a radius of not less than 2.5miles (4km) from other human or industrial activities, ensuring 100% organic authenticity and exceptional quality.
Forages
Hives are not placed in or near agricultural farms where chemical farming & artificial feeding techniques are utilized. The sources of forages (i.e. nectar and pollen) are native multi-floral plants or grasses blooming weekly within fenced and conserved apiaries for natural & organic honey production.
Crystallization
Crystallization is an important characteristic of My Honey. Honey users believe that if honey has crystallized, it has gone bad or has been adulterated with sugar. This is inaccurate. My Honey crystallizes by its own nature, and occurs at temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius (77 Fahrenheit) to above 5 degrees Celsius (41 Fahrenheit). 14 degrees Celsius (57.2 Fahrenheit) is optimal for fast crystallization.
Vitamins & Minerals
My Honey is a natural powerhouse, packed with vitamins, antioxidants, enzymes & trace minerals, such as: Potassium, calcium, sodium, iron, copper, zinc, manganese and, vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, C & K. The number of vitamins & minerals varies according to plant origins and seasons.
Techno-Hives
Most of the beehives used are enhanced beyond the standard, traditional hives - emanating from new techniques in organic agriculture. The hives comprise natural wood from pine trees, untreated by chemicals and hardened for durability. Lead-based paints are not used in the process of making the hives due to the makeup of its compound, which might contaminate the honey quality. We take this very seriously and do not compromise around these important factors.
Honey Color
My Honey colors vary with botanical origins, age and storage conditions. Transparency or clarity depends on amount of suspended particles such as pollen and other organic substances. My Honey ranges from Extra Light Amber to Dark Amber, depending on blossoms of the year.
